Manika Bishwokarma is a Dalit woman, writer, journalist and activist from Chitwan . With a background in socioloy and gender justice, As a journalist with Setopati.com, she has produced news reports and feature stories on LGBTQI+ communities, arts, and human rights, highlighting the experiences of marginalized voices. She is a DEI fellow at Nepal Investigative Multimedia Journalism Network (NIMJN). Manika is currently completing her Master's in Gender studies from Tribhuvan University, focusing on caste, gender, and social justice. Her work is deeply rooted in anti-caste feminist politics and the belief that lived experience is essential knowledge. She is committed to producing ethical, evidence-based journalism that centers the voices of marginalized communities and contributes to a more just and inclusive society.
