Part II treats critical and creative thinking as complementary stages of inquiry: critical thinking asks "is this justified?"; creative thinking asks "what else is possible?" Sessions cover divergent/convergent thinking,
assumption-surfacing, reframing, perspective-taking, lateral and analogical thinking, counterfactual reasoning, systems thinking, and thinking under uncertainty, culminating in a Creative Thinking Project (2,500–3,000 words + presentation) and a personal "Thinking Manifesto." Assessment is
process-oriented: participation (15%), weekly thinking journal (20%),
mid-semester Thinking Lab (15%), critical analysis of a creative idea (15%), the Creative Thinking Project (25%), and final reflection (10%).
