Historically, archives have documented societies and are essential to shape interpretations of the past and present which will ultimately affect the future. We have explored innovative methods of traditional and digital archiving to access and improve engagement in caste issues. This archive serves to be a public repository that documents caste issues of Nepal and beyond, with particular emphasis on materials about and produced by Dalit women and other minorities. An important feature of this initiative are open-course platforms, which specialize in fostering participation amongst Dalit individuals to be both knowledge users and producers – thus our fellows and faculty members have full access to using and contributing to this repository. We hope that JFP’s archive can be an important source as well as an example of inclusivity practices.
